Hooray for new posts!

So it's been a few weeks and here's what's new!  We've gone back to the doctor and we got a surprise ultrasound.  You can see by the picture below that our kid is already into yoga!  Peanut was sporting a yoga plow pose and sitting on my bladder the whole appointment.  I think I went to the bathroom 3 or 4 times in 45 minutes!

On Friday, we headed out to Tennessee for a visit with everyone in Chickamauga and Cleveland.  Despite not getting to see Brad play baseball due to rain, it was a great weekend.  We went to see Grandma Marge and told her all about our doctor's appointment and our plans for the baby.  We had some of the best pizza ever from a little place in downtown Chickamauga and saw one of the biggest pizzas I've ever seen -- 28 inches wide!

On Sunday, we headed further into Tennessee to Nashville where we stayed with Katie and David and their boys.  We went to a cute little town called Leiper's Fork where we were supposed to have some famous people sightings, but alas they weren't out on a very cold Sunday afternoon. (I think the high was 36 degrees -- Burrrr!)  We did get to do some exploring in Nashville but certainly not enough.  Kent got his first taste of Broadway and saw all the little dives where country music stars get their starts.  We also got a very pleasant surprise when Katie told us there was a Chuy's open in Cool Springs.  For those of you who've been to Texas with me, you know that Chuy's is one of my favorite places for Mexican, so it was truly a special treat to get my Tex Mex fix in Tennessee!  It was so good I ate there twice in one day!  Lunch and dinner, lol!  Leave it to the prego to get her way with food!

Anyway, after spending time with the Horner family, we headed back to Cleveland to spend some time with Aunt Earlene, Beth and Erik, and the boys.  We ate at one of Grandma Marge's favorite places in her honor and before we headed out we stopped by to see her again.  We showed her our most recent ultrasound picture and also some pictures we brought of the wedding (even though my hair's a different color I think she recognized me).

Then we headed all the way back home on Thursday night, which was a long ride for my achy hips.  We got home just in time for a huge baby growth spurt.  All this weekend I was exhausted and hungry.  I think I ended up drinking a half gallon of milk in two days, how crazy is that?  Kent and I took some pictures of the house, obviously it's still a work in progress but you'll get the idea.  We also got our crib and changing table (Thanks, Mom!) and were able to get the changing table put together.   We'll finish the crib this weekend and post more pictures next week after our big ultrasound!

Next Tuesday is the big day!  It's our screen ultrasound and we should be able to get the "money shot" as Kristy calls it!  Hopefully, Peanut won't be shy like his/her Daddy and will give us the goods so we can start planning for pink or blue!

So here's our first ultrasound pic...this is at 8 weeks 4 days.

This is my 16 week shot... definitely starting to show a baby...just wait for the 18 week shot!

Here's the ultrasound of our yogi baby! Of course it's hard to get a good picture of the picture because the paper is so shiny...

Here's Kent figuring out how to put together the changing table.  I did help...a little.

So close!

Proud Papa with a finished product!

18 weeks!  I literally got this big over the weekend...how crazy is that?

Here's a cute picture of Kent with the boys :o)

Finally, I'm sharing a bunch of pictures of our house...
